Issue: Certain Overo COMs contain faulty bluetooth modules.
August 2009: Each Overo Air and Overo Fire computer-on-module now available at www.gumstix.com has working Bluetooth.
July 2009: Gumstix recently shipped a number of Overo Air and Overo Fire COMs with defective wireless modules. While the wifi portion of the module worked properly, the Bluetooth portion did not.
COMs containing the defective modules will have the following message in the boot log:
Starting Bluetooth subsystem:
Initialization timed out.
March 2010 - Gumstix is no longer providing replacements for this known issue PKI 2009-4.
